Hostel Ukonlinna - Imatra

We had an very nice stay by the lake, with easy access to indoor and outdoor activities. The hotel facilities were very clean, and the staff was friendly. We loved the cozy atmosphere and old-school feel of the hotel. It was also good value for money.

The location near the lake was beautiful and picturesque, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. the staff was friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with any questions or concerns. The common area and kitchen were also a plus, providing a comfortable space to hang out and meet other travellers.

The distance from the town and train station made it quite inconvenient to get around. There were no nearby supermarkets, making it difficult to purchase food or supplies.

Plus, the communal area is cozy and perfect for meeting other travelers.

Some Inconvenient Wait Times and Thin Walls Unfortunately, the one downside of this place is that it can be quite inconvenient at times. the shared bathroom can have quite a bit of wait time and the walls between rooms are quite thin.

This cozy, budget hostel is nestled in a historic old building which exudes a true vintage vibe and offers a scenic outdoor experience, as it is conveniently located by a lake and provides access to some nearby hiking trails. Though simple, the common areas are big and comfortable, offering intimate meals and living room game nights. the toilets and showers are clean and offer hot water, and the staff is approachable and friendly.

The hostel might not be suitable for light sleepers as the sound insulation in the rooms can be inadequate.
